theredarchives.com is operated by WALR Brothers LLP, a limited liability partnership registered in India, whose office is at F23-24 Radhika Kunj, LIG Link Road, Indore, Madhya Pradesh 452011. The Red Archives is a brand of WALR Brothers LLP. In these terms, "we", "us" and "our" mean WALR Brothers LLP, and "you" means the person browsing the site or placing an order.
By using this site or buying from it you accept these terms. Please read them. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site.
1. Who can order
You must be at least 18 years old to place an order, or have the consent of a parent or guardian. Our cases deal with adult subject matter, including crime, and we recommend them for players aged 16 and above. There is no gore or explicit content in any case, and each listing states the themes it involves.
2. Orders and acceptance
An order placed on this site is an offer to buy. A confirmation email tells you we have received it. The contract between us comes into being when we dispatch the order. We may decline or cancel an order before dispatch, and refund you in full, if the item is out of stock, if the listing carried an error in price or description, if the address cannot be served by our couriers, or if we suspect fraud or resale.
3. Prices and payment
All prices are in Indian Rupees and include applicable taxes. We sell on a prepaid basis only. Payment is taken in full at checkout through our payment partners, who handle your card and banking details directly. We do not see or store your card details.
We may change prices and run offers at any time. A change of price does not affect an order we have already accepted.
4. Cancellation, returns and shipping
Orders may be cancelled free of charge before fulfilment. Because a case is a single-use experience that contains its own solution, we do not accept returns or exchanges of delivered cases, except where the fault is ours. Our Cancellation and Refund Policy and our Shipping Policy form part of these terms and set all of this out in full.
5. What is in a case, and what it is for
Every case is a work of fiction. Names, characters, organisations, documents and events in a case are invented or used fictitiously, and any resemblance to real people or real events is coincidental. Where a case is set against a real place or a real period, the historical setting is dressing for a story and is not offered as a record of fact.
A case is sold for private use by you and your guests at home. You may play it as many times as you like with as many groups as you like. You may not charge admission for it, run it at a ticketed or commercial event, use it in a paid workshop, or run it as part of a business, without our written permission. If you want to use our cases commercially, write to corporate@walrbrothers.com and we will talk.
6. Online evidence and QR seals
Some evidence in a case sits behind a QR code that opens a page on this site. That material is part of the product you bought and carries no extra charge. Viewing it needs a working internet connection and a device that can read a QR code. We will keep those pages available for as long as the case is in circulation, and we will give reasonable notice before withdrawing any of them. We are not liable for a page being briefly unreachable because of maintenance, a network failure, or anything else outside our control.
7. Intellectual property
Everything in a case and on this site, including the writing, the artwork, the documents, the photographs, the audio, the layouts, the logos and the name The Red Archives, belongs to WALR Brothers LLP or is used by us under licence. You may not copy, scan, reprint, distribute, sell, or make derivative works from any of it without our written permission.
Please also do not publish the solution to a case. Posting spoilers, walkthroughs, or scans of evidence in public spoils the case for everybody who has not played it yet, and it breaches these terms.
8. Your use of the site
You agree not to use this site for any unlawful purpose, not to attempt to gain access to any part of it you are not authorised to reach, not to interfere with its operation, and not to use any automated system to scrape it or to harvest content from it.
9. Accuracy of the site
We take care to describe our cases accurately, but we do not warrant that every description, photograph, price or other content on this site is free of error. Colours, paper and print finishes can differ slightly from what you see on screen. If a case you receive differs materially from its description, our Cancellation and Refund Policy applies.
10. Third-party services
This site runs on Shopify and uses third parties for payment, checkout, delivery and analytics. Those services have their own terms and their own privacy practices. Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect and why. Links to other websites are provided for convenience and we are not responsible for their content.
11. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, our liability to you in connection with any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, or any other law that cannot be excluded by agreement.
12. Events outside our control
We are not responsible for delay or failure caused by something beyond our reasonable control, including courier disruption, strikes, natural events, power or network failure, or action by a public authority.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version published on this page at the moment you place an order is the version that applies to that order. Please check back before ordering again.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. The courts at Indore, Madhya Pradesh have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
