Gala night at Sonargarh House, Jaipur: the first public showing of the Suryataara, the family's nine-stone necklace, in fifty-four years, ahead of the auction meant to save the estate. During the fireworks the power and the cameras die for nine minutes. When the lights return, the case is empty.

A claim for 42 crore is filed the same night. Then, three days later, a railway parcel arrives, cash-paid, sender unclaimed. Inside is the necklace.

The insurer's Special Investigations Unit gets twelve days to decide what actually happened before the money moves. You are the SIU, and something about this file is upside down.
