THE BRIEF

what killed Seth Malpani?
Raibagh, in the Kumaon hills, the morning after Diwali 2014. Seth Govardhan Malpani, who holds half the bazaar's debts, is found dead in his study. Six days later his cook of nineteen years confesses to poisoning the milk, on tape, without regret.
Eleven years into the sentence his daughter forces an exhumation. The body carries no dhatura at all.
